The countries of the Southeastern Europe are well on the way towards the integration in the European Union, but the broadband infrastructure deployment status is far behind the developed countries. Stability Pact for the Southeastern Europe, one of the co-organizers of the conference, has identified broadened communication as one of the key economy sectors with large growth potential in its own as well is the enabler and growth accelerator in the other industries. The 2nd Southeastern Europe Broadband Conference and Expo is aligning its objectives with bSEE (Broadband South Eastern Europe) initiative of the Stability Pact which calls for the coordination of polices and homogenous development of regional broadband networks. The success of that process will depend on the right technology choices, skill development through education and collaboration and sharing the experience of international best practices, all of which are the focus of the 2nd Southeastern Europe Broadband Conference and Expo.

The 2nd SEE Broadband Conference and Expo is scheduled to be held from 16-18 April 2007 in Belgrade, Serbia. The program includes keynote sessions by the government and industry leaders as well as the key representatives of the leading regional economic institutions. The conference presentations will cover the latest advancement in the products and services, key technology, infrastructure and services deployment, broadband regulation and investment polices and best practices.
